Profile
I have extensive clinical experience spanning over two decades. With a foundation in physiotherapy and specialisations in paediatrics and musculoskeletal therapy, I have developed a profound understanding of patient care and therapeutic interventions, making me well-suited for this role.
My journey in healthcare began over 20 years ago, during which I dedicated eight years specifically to paediatrics. This experience allowed me to hone my skills in addressing the unique needs of young patients, fostering an empathetic and nurturing approach. Subsequently, I transitioned to musculoskeletal therapy, working with both adults and children. This phase of my career expanded my expertise in managing a variety of conditions, from sports injuries to chronic pain, and equipped me with a holistic understanding of physical rehabilitation.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have served as an expert witness, completing rigorous training with Bond Salon. My role as an expert witness has involved providing credible and insightful testimony, underpinned by my thorough understanding of physiotherapy and patient care. I am also in the process of completing my degree in expert witness from Cranfield University, which has further enhanced my analytical and communicative abilities, crucial for a Case Manager.
Over the past 2.5 years, I have gained significant experience as a Clinical Case Manager. In this role, I have successfully managed a caseload that includes catastrophic injuries and head injuries. My responsibilities have encompassed developing comprehensive care plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their recovery journey. This role has not only strengthened my case management skills but also highlighted my ability to navigate the complexities associated with severe injuries and long-term rehabilitation.
My extensive clinical background, coupled with my experience as a case manager, has equipped me with a unique skill set that aligns well with the demands of this position. I bring a deep understanding of the healthcare system, a commitment to patient advocacy, and a track record of successful case management. My approach is patient-centred, ensuring that the care plans I develop are tailored to the individual needs of each patient, fostering their recovery and well-being.
Moreover, my experience as an expert witness has refined my ability to analyse complex cases and communicate findings effectively, skills that are invaluable in case management. The training I have received and the degree I am pursuing have provided me with a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and ethical standards, ensuring that my contributions are both credible and impactful.
