Profile

I am an occupational therapist with over 14 years of experience working with both children and adults with complex disabilities, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, palliative care, Parkinson’s Disease, spinal injuries, amputees, Motor Neurone Disease, and general medical conditions.  I maintain my clinical experience working as both a Case Manager and Occupational Therapist.

I have extensive experience in completing home assessments, evaluating care needs, planning interventions, and producing and reviewing care plans.   My various roles have all involved assessments of activities of daily living, cognition, upper limb function and functional mobility.  I have experience of working with clients in various stages of recovery and rehabilitation in a variety of settings.

I have a particular interest in major adaptations, assistive equipment and moving and handling solutions.  I am an ROSPA Level 4 qualified manual handling instructor and risk assessor.

I am continuously developing as a professional, attending regular clinical professional development opportunities and dedicate my time researching and developing my skills relating to healthcare, best practice, and interventions.

I have undergone training in the medico legal process and am fully aware of my responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses.
