Profile
I have led a distinguished and long career in healthcare and have spent the majority of my time within critical care.
As a skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a non-prescribing qualification, I see and manage almost all primary care patients thanks to my experience, and the expertise gained, in many different primary care aspects throughout my clinical career.
I work alongside a team of GPs and other clinicians and assist in providing a high standard of care to our patients. My role within the ANP team extends to completing weekly ward rounds in a number of care homes, a part of my weekly routine that I thoroughly enjoy.
As part of a group of experienced Senior Sisters and Charge Nurses, I was accountable for clinical, managerial, and professional sphere of control. Responsible for achieving specific results by using resources effectively, carrying our policy in defined areas of authority, and contributing to wider activities within the strategic plans of the division and the Trust, with an active lead in Critical Care Outreach.
