I am an accomplished Vestibular Physiotherapist with 30 years of physiotherapy experience, including 19 years specialising exclusively in vestibular rehabilitation. I am skilled in conducting comprehensive vestibular assessments, establishing accurate diagnoses, and delivering tailored rehabilitation for individuals with dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, concussion, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)-related vestibular disorders. I am dedicated to ensuring that patients receive timely, evidence-based, and affordable vestibular care, reducing unnecessary delays and improving outcomes.

 

Expertise & Recognition

• Completed advanced vestibular training, including the prestigious Emory University Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency Course led by Prof. Susan Herdman (USA, 2009).

• Winner of the Robert Williams International Award (2011) from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy at the WCPT Congress in Amsterdam.

• Provides specialist vestibular treatment, diagnostic reports, medico-legal input, and expert witness services(Bond Solon trained, 2021).

• Completed specialist vestibular training under Prof. Linda Luxon (Queen’s Square, London, 2007) and Prof. Susan Herdman (Emory University, USA, 2009).

• Experienced in collaborating with case managers, solicitors, and multidisciplinary teams for patients with complex vestibular and TBI-related conditions.

 

Teaching, Research & Innovation

• Has trained over 1,500clinicians across the UK in vestibular rehabilitation through teaching and professional development courses.

• Actively contributes to research with the University of Birmingham on community-based balance programmes for older adults.

• Currently developing vestibular-specific fitness exercises (VestiFit) aimed at enhancing balance and vestibular resilience, particularly in adults aged 50 and over.
