Profile
I have 40 years’ experience in working within both acute and community services for Children and Young People (CYP).
My speciality was cardio thoracic pre and post-operative care. I currently work 3 sessions as a Clinical Care Professional Lead for Children and Young People (CYP) within the Integrated Commissioning Board. I help identify gaps in services for CYP and then commission these services.
Currently working on introducing a child health model for children in the community in line with the NHS 10-year plan. I also work part-time as a safeguarding nurse consultant working with CYP who have been harmed by their parents/carers often leading to significant harm such as brain injury/learning disability. Alongside this I work as a Domestic Homicide Author and Chair writing reports for the Home Office.
