Profile

I have over 30 years’ experience as a physiotherapist and have specialised in advanced clinical assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.

 

Within the MSK field I have experience of working in A&E, orthopaedic wards (elective and trauma), to final stage of the patient journey providing evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation.

 

As an extended scope practitioner l assess and order appropriate investigations to aid and deliver diagnosis. My approach is always patient centred and includes a shared decision-making process to ensure an individual's needs and priorities are tailored for optimal outcomes.

 

I am adept at working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the development of care pathways. I have a strong commitment to continuous professional development. My excellent communication skills and empathetic approach enable me to build strong therapeutic relationships with patients, enhancing their rehabilitation journey.

 

As a physiotherapy manager for 27 years, I have a wealth of experience of day-to-day leadership. Together with resolving patient/family complaints within out and in patient settings working closely with PALS team, MDT, legal team, supporting staff and patients through these processes.
