Profile

I have over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working with children and adults in a variety of settings. I have extensive experience of working in the NHS working in regional neurorehabilitation units and at Leeds Children’s Hospital specialising in neurodisability and managing the occupational therapy team.

I have been an independent occupational therapist since 2016 with a case load of children and adults with complex traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, autism, stroke, spinal injuries, and orthopaedic injuries. I have experience preparing expert reports since 2020 for both claimant and defendant and have completed Bond Solon training for expert witnesses.

I regularly engage in continuing professional development and clinical supervision to ensure that I am able to apply evidence-based practice.

I have been a fieldwork educator of occupational therapy students and have organised and presented at study days and conferences on fatigue management, TBI in children, complex hospital discharge planning, sensory processing, role of an occupational therapist in a tertiary botulinum toxin clinic, self-regulation and emotional control.
