Profile

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2005 and have over 20 years’ experience across statutory, private, rehabilitation and case management settings. My clinical background spans orthopaedics, neurology, surgery, intermediate care, paediatrics, community rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation, personal injury and clinical negligence work.

I initially specialised in paediatrics, working with children and young people with complex presentations, including cerebral palsy, spinal injury, muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injury, learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions. This included assessment for specialist equipment and recommendations for minor and major housing adaptations.

I have experience as a case manager working with both adults and children involved in personal injury and clinical negligence cases. This included completing Immediate Needs Assessments, contributing to care planning, coordinating rehabilitation, and liaising with therapy providers, support workers and solicitors.

I currently work as a Band 7 Occupational Therapist at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust within the Community Specialist Rehabilitation Team. My role involves working with service users with complex trauma, neurological presentations and long-term conditions in the community.

I complete Occupational Therapy and Care Expert Witness assessments and have attended case conference meetings and completed joint statements.

I am also trained in the revised Civil Procedure Rules and continue to update my medico-legal training on a regular basis.
