I am a UK-registered pharmacist and Community Pharmacy Expert Witness with over 18 years’ experience practising within community pharmacy settings, including independent pharmacies, small multiples and large national pharmacy chains.

My professional experience has focused on the safe and accurate supply of medicines, prescription clinical screening, patient counselling at the point of supply, medicines safety and adherence to professional and governance standards within community pharmacy practice.

I provide independent expert opinion in relation to community pharmacy practice, assisting solicitors and the courts in considering whether care provided was consistent with the standards reasonably expected of a competent community pharmacist.

My areas of expertise include prescription and dispensing errors, clinical screening and decision-making, medicines safety, controlled drug governance, potential drug interactions identified at dispensing, patient counselling, referral and escalation, and pharmacy governance.

I am an Associate Expert Witness with Maggie Sargent & Associates and have completed formal medico-legal expert witness training through the University of Strathclyde, including training relating to CPR Part 35 and the duties of an expert witness.
