Profile
I am a hard working, enthusiastic, Advanced Practice MSK Physiotherapist with Health Professions Council registration and membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. My current advanced practitioner role involves managing patients with a wide range of MSK conditions, injection therapy, ordering appropriate imaging, complex presentations and second opinions.
Since graduating in 2008 I have gained experience working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the NHS, MOD and private practice. I have experience in the 3 core areas of physiotherapy and have over 17 years' experience working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I have developed special interests in complex patients, persistent pain and hypermobility syndromes. I have completed an NIRH research internship and am currently lead author on a research study awaiting publication.
I am self motivated, adaptable, show good initiative and have highly developed communication skills. I enjoy helping develop the skills of others via mentoring developing advanced practice physios and performing guest lectures annually on MSK imaging and clinical reasoning skills to university undergraduates. I am actively seeking to expand the scope that I work in and am committed to continuing my professional and personal development.
